We are PAST the All Star Game and now we are LASER focused on the SECOND half of the season and the Pennant Races. During the Midsummer Classic, the Yankee stars SHINED the BRIGHTEST and now they are looking to CLINCH the AL East and WIN the World Series this season. The Yankees are going to be HOME to start the SECOND half of the season with a TEN game HOMESTAND starting with a series against the Toronto Blue Jays this weekend before the SECOND place Tampa Bay DEVIL Rays come to town next week.
The Blue Jays are among the WORST teams in baseball, they have ONE good player in Vladdy Guerrero Jr., so it would be GREAT if the Yankees just INTENTIONALLY walked EVERY time as there is NO ONE on their roster OTHER than Vladdy that is CAPABLE of BEATING the Yankees. The Blue Jays WON the first series of the season between these two teams, but the Yankees came back to SWEEP the Blue Jays in the series before the London Series and can CONTINUE beating up on them this weekend.
On the Yankees side, here is the FULL preview of the SECOND half of the season, but more IMPORTANTLY this weekend, they need to BEAT UP on BAD teams at home and go .500 on the ROAD and they will EASILY have HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE in the Postseason as there are 6.5 games UP on the DEVIL Rays going into the SECOND half.
The one MINOR injury for the Yankees going into the All Star BREAK was Luke Voit who was PULLED from the FIRST London game but the Yankees and he HIMSELF had made it pretty CLEAR that he would be BACK after the All Star Break and he is going to be activated at some point this weekend, probably NOT in time for tonight’s game
The BREAK this week ALLOWED the Yankees to REST their bullpen and I expect BIG things from them and the offense for the REMAINDER of the season.
Game ONE: Tonight- Domingo German vs Aaron Sanchez
Game TWO: Saturday Afternoon- JA Happ vs Clayton Richard
Game THREE: Sunday Afternoon- Masahiro Tanaka vs Marcus Stroman
I EXPECT a series WIN for the Yankees this weekend, which means they are going to get SWEPT that is how this thing works.
