The New York Yankees CONCLUDED their West Coast trip in Arizona against the Diamondbacks and it ENDED before it even STARTED. In LESS than a day, the Diamondbacks’ pitchers DOMINATED both games and WON the series. The PLETHORA of INJURIES for the Yankees were their DEMISE in this series as they are just NOT built to win against good teams. The Yankees OPEN up a homestand against teams with WINNING records so that should be INTERESTING.
This weekend, the Minnesota Twins come to town. Historically, the Yankees have DOMINATED the Twins so I expect them to do GREAT this weekend.
NOTHING really happened in the series against the Twins so there are NO real highlights for this blog other than CC Sabathia getting his 3000th STRIKEOUT.

CC became just the SEVENTEENTH pitcher ever to reach that plateau and this basically CLINCHES his spot in Cooperstown. He was a DOMINANT pitcher when he started his career with the Yankees and now LATE in his career, he is CRAFTY still getting outs and one of the BETTER pitchers on this roster.
This homestand is going to be BIG for the Yankees as we are going to see MORE people getting healthy. There are RUMORS out there that Miguel Andujar is at Yankee Stadium today but he was NOT activated prior to tonight’s game so we could see him and Clint Frazier come back either tomorrow or Sunday.
Game 1: Tonight- James Paxton vs Kyle Gibson
Game 2: Saturday Afternoon- JA Happ vs Jake Odorizzi
Game 3: Sunday Afternoon- Domingo German vs Michael Pineda
PLEASE JUST CONTINUE TO WIN SOME GAMES, PLEASE YANKEES PLEASE…
