34 different previews of the weekend series between the Blue Jays and the Yankees

WIN some games PLEASE

The New York Yankees are currently TWENTY NINE game OVER .500 and have a SIX game lead for a Postseason spot, but things look really BLEAK for the Bronx Bombers, thanks to their RIVALS. The Boston Red Sox are ON PACE to have the BEST Regular Season of ALL TIME and that has put a DAMPER in a GREAT season for the Yankees, as they are NEVER going to catch the Red Sox. This past week, the Yankees took on the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the Bronx, the Devil Rays WON the series, which sent Yankee fans into DEPRESSION yesterday. The Yankees take on the Toronto Blue Jays this weekend, which is a MUST WIN series according to the SPOILED Yankee fans.

Yankees- Devil Rays Series Recap:

Game 1- The Bombers had LOST their CROSS TOWN RIVALS, the New York Mets on Monday Night, but they had their BEST pitcher right now take the mound on Tuesday night against the Devil Rays. J.A. Happ has been with the Yankees for ONLY three weeks, but IF the season ENDED today, he would be the Wild Card game starting pitcher, which is AMAZING in its own. He was GREAT on Tuesday night and got his THIRD win as a Yankee.

The Yankees had the EARLY lead in the FIRST inning, but the DAGGER came off the bat of Austin Romine or like I call him, RISP Romine.

Romine has been GREAT in the ABSENCE of Gary Sanchez, who is going to miss TWO more weeks so Romine’s performance is a BIG key for the Yankees right now until they are FULLY healthy.

Aroldis Chapman, who has been SHAKY in CLOSING games in the last MONTH and a HALF got the SAVE to give the Yankees a 4-1 WIN.

Game 2- CC Sabathia had been sent to the DL on Monday and the Yankees needed someone to make a SPOT start in his ABSENCE. Instead of calling up one of their TOP prospects like Justus Sheffield or Chance Adams, the Yankees went with Luis Cessa, who was NOT terrible in his start but he got the LOSS on Wednesday Night.

The Yankee offense went cold, scoring ONLY run thanks to a SOLO Home Run by Miguel Andujar and they LOST the game 6-1.

Game 3- Masahiro Tanaka took the mound on Thursday night in the RUBBER game of the series and he had a TERRIBLE start to his outing, giving up TWO runs without recording an OUT, but he CALMED DOWN. Tanaka gave up just TWO runs in SIX innings, but the offense was cold AGAIN and he got his FIRST loss since April. The Yankee offense managed just ONE run in the EIGHTH inning and LOST the game 3-1 and LOST their FIRST series at home against the Devil Rays in THREE years.

The BIGGEST question mark for the Yankees going into the 2018 season was their starting rotation, BUT that has NOT been the issue lately. The starting pitchers, OUTSIDE of Luis Severino have NOT imploded and KEPT the Yankees in game but their offense and Bullpen, which was SUPPOSED to be their STRENGTHS have let them DOWN.

Giancarlo Stanton had a TERRIBLE month of April and the SPOILED Yankee fans wanted him GONE, but he is the ONLY hitter on the team that is actually playing WELL on offense, if NOT for him, the Yankees might NOT have scored a run for the past THREE weeks.

The offense really NEEDS Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez to come back and MASH the ball, BUT both players look like are going to be OUT for AT LEAST two more weeks. Sanchie has begun doing some workouts on the field, but he will need to appear in some REHAB games before returning to the Yankees. As far as Judge goes, his WRIST is not yet healed and that is NOT a good sign for the Yankees, because they DESPERATELY need him to come back.

The Yankees are NOT going to catch the Red Sox for the AL East, but they have to BEAT UP on BAD teams if they have ANY shot of catching the Red Sox. The Yankees do NOT play a GOOD team until September 2nd, so they need to be GREAT over this stretch to get ready for the Postseason.
