Yankees Weekend Series Preview- Blue Jays

I am just going to say it, Baseball is NOT fun right now

It has been TWO weeks since Giancarlo Stanton has hit a HOME RUN and I have been looking for the PANIC button since. The Yankees SPLIT the two game set against the Miami Marlins, who are the WORST team in baseball. They did not score a run until there were TWO outs in the bottom of the NINTH inning on Tuesday night as they CONTINUE to roam around .500. They play the Toronto Blue Jays for a FOUR game set this weekend and they NEED to win this series.

Yankees- Marlins Series RECAP-

Game 1- The Yankees jumped out to an EARLY lead thanks to the TOP of their order and Luis Severino was LIGHTS OUT. They ran away with the game and things look to be improving in Yankee Land, despite Stanton continuing STRUGGLING. Aaron Judge continued to RAKE and hit his FOURTH home run of the season.

Game 2- The Marlins HAMMERED Masahiro Tanaka in the FIRST inning and the Yankees never STOOD a chance. The offense was getting NO-HIT till the SIXTH inning as fans on Twitter were IMPLODING. Third Baseman Miguel Andujar hit his FIRST career home run in the NINTH inning which was the smallest silver lining from this debacle.

The Yankees take on the Blue Jays for the next FOUR days starting tonight, the two teams started the season against each other in Toronto and they SPLIT the series. The Blue Jays have a BETTER record than the Yankees but they are a WEAKER team and this might be the OPPORTUNITY for the Yankees to take their STRIDE.

TOP prospect Gleyber Torres is going to be making his Major League debut at some point this weekend, so maybe he can JUMPSTART the offense and carry the team to start his career. The Yankees need A LOT of help on offense and that help MIGHT just come from the bat of Torres.

Pitching Matchups for the Blue Jays series:

Game 1- Thursday Night: CC Sabathia vs Aaron Sanchez

Game 2- Friday Night: Sonny Gray vs Marco Estrada

Game 3- Saturday Afternoon: Jordan Montgomery vs Marcus Stroman

Game 4- Sunday Afternoon: Luis Severino vs Jaime Garcia

The Yankees have the edge in pitching in TWO games this weekend so they need to BEAT UP on the Blue Jays. The Boston Red Sox have FORGOTTEN how to LOSE games, so the Yankees need to START winning or the season might be over for them in EARLY June.

The Yankees NEED to WIN this weekend or I might declare them DEAD again.
