Record for Week 6- 3-3, Overall record after Week 6- 23-15
The games for this week are the Chiefs at the Raiders, the Jets at the Dolphins, the Cowboys at the 49ers, the Bengals at the Steelers, the Falcons at the Pats, and the Redskins at the Eagles.
Game 1- Thursday Night, the Kansas City Chiefs at the Oakland Raiders (Line- Chiefs -2.5)
This game is very important for both teams, the Chiefs are coming off a lose last week and need to avoid a losing streak. The Raiders have lost their last three games and need to win this week to keep their season alive. In the preseason I picked the Raiders to be the best team in the AFC, so just to make sure I have some credibility left, I will pick the Raiders in this game. Nobody knows how Thursday night games go, so you need to come up with other reasons for the picks.
Game 2- Sunday Afternoon, the New York Jets at the Miami Dolphins (Line- Dolphins -3.5)
This is another game that I hope the Jets lose, but they probably will not. Miami is really bad and they should not have beaten the Falcons last week. Either team could win this game but is going to be ugly and close, so I will take the Jets, because I do not think the Dolphins have the capability to win by more than three points.
Game 3- Sunday Late Afternoon, the Dallas Cowboys at the San Francisco 49ers (Line- Cowboys -5.5)
The Cowboys have really struggled early in the season and the Niners have not played bad despite being winless on the season. They have lost all their games by less than three points and I expect that trend to continue. The Cowboys are still trying to figure out what is going to be Ezekiel Elliot, so the Niners get them at the right time.
Game 4- Sunday Late Afternoon, the Cincinnati Bengals at the Pittsburgh Steelers (Line- Steelers -5.5)
The Bengals are not a good time but are still afloat this season. The Steelers had a big win last week and that momentum will carry forward into this week. They have a lot of bad losses on the season, but I think this week they will finally figure things out and blow the doors off the Bengals.
Game 5- Sunday Night, the Atlanta Falcons at the New England Patriots (Line- Pats -2.5)
The Pats barely won against the Jets last week and the Falcons blew a big lead at home to the Dolphins. The Falcons looked like a good team in the NFC, but having lost to the Bills and the Dolphins at home is alarming. The Pats defense is still pretty bad so this game is going to be high scoring and close. In the end I think the Pats will find a way to win the game by a field goal.
Game 6- Monday Night, the Washington Redskins at the Philadelphia Eagles (Line- Eagles -4.5)
The Eagles might take the field on Monday as the best team in the NFL and that type of pressure can cripple a team. Luckily for them they are led by a second year quarterback who never really lost a game in college and is used to high expectations. I LOVE the Eagles to win this game but the point spread is bothering me a little. I am very hesitantly going to take the points, but I am probably going to be wrong.
My picks for this week are the Raiders, the Jets, the 49ers, the Steelers, the Pats, the Eagles. Come back next week to see how I do.
