College Football Week 7 Review

If you are ranked in the Top 10, you are probably going to lose sometime soon

It was in fact a wild weekend in the College Football circuit, a bunch of Top 10 teams lost this week and the College Football Playoff has been shaken upside down. Below are my ten observations from this week

Number 10- Forget San Diego State, South Florida will be playing in a New Years Six

San Diego State were the latest recipient of the Avi Mehta Curse. I picked them to win this week, but instead they were upset by Boise State. South Florida did not play a game this week and have now sneaked in as the highest ranked Group of Five team and they are still undefeated. In a bizarro world if they run the table and if one of the conferences falls apart they MIGHT have a chance to sneak into the Playoffs.

Number 9- Bama continues to Bama

With teams around them losing in the last two weeks, Alabama continues to have double digit wins. They will have to look out for a trap game the rest of the way, otherwise the title is their’s to lose.

Number 8- Tennessee is#done

Tennessee is winless in SEC play and I would not be surprised if they fired Butch Jones and start rebuilding. Tennessee does not have the talent to contend in the SEC and needs a change of culture sooner rather than later.

Number 7- Coach O is back and better than ever

LSU has beat two ranked opponents in the last two weeks and they are ranked again. The Tigers will have to beat Alabama in order to be considered fully back.

Number 6- Michigan is not good folks

Michigan had trouble beating Indiana which showed that they are not ready yet. They have a big game coming against Wisconsin before the season ending against Ohio State. Michigan needs to get better if they want to contend for this season

Number 5- Wisconsin and Penn State keep surviving and advancing

Both teams are not playing pretty football, but are not losing the game. These two teams are set for a rematch in the Big Ten championship game and the winner will go to the Playoffs this time around.

Number 4- USC might sneak back in to the Pac-12 race

Washington and Washington State lost this week and USC might sneak back in the Pac 12 South and will play one of the Washington teams in the championship games. USC might just be able to right the ship and win the Pac 12 and possibly go to the playoffs.

Number 3- Georgia is the real deal

Georgia is beating up on the weak SEC East and will go into the Championship game undefeated. They have Alabama circled on their calendar and will have a chance to beat the Tide and go to the Playoffs

Number 2- Is the Big 12 actually good?

TCU, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State are all in the Top 10 and will battle each other out for a Playoff spot in the next couple of weeks. Big 12 football is going to be exciting to watch in the next couple of weeks.

Number 1- Clemson will be fine

Clemson lost to Syracuse this week and their fans are freaking out. They still lead the ACC and are by far the best team in the conference. If they are able to win the conference then they will go to the Playoffs and have a chance to win the whole thing again.
