The Stanley Cup Playoffs are the best playoffs among the four major North American sporting leagues. Every game is exciting and everyone is on the edge of their seats for the whole game. Every single playoff game is a must watch even if you do not have a dog in the fight. I happen the have a dog in the fight with the New York Rangers. The Blueshirts are the only team among my favorites that is actually good and not near a dumpster fire (Mentions the Knicks and Jets in every blog, the Mehtaphorical Difference). The Rangers will be taking on the Montreal Canadiens in the first round. The Rangers did not finish the season great, but were able to win the first wild card. In the very weird Stanley Cup Playoffs, they will be playing teams in the Atlantic Division in the first two rounds of the playoffs. The Rangers actually lucked out, because they have to play only one of three Metropolitan teams if they make it to the Stanley Cup Finals. The Canadiens have the home field advantage and look like a favorite. The Rangers have one of the easiest path to the Conference Finals. If they are able to beat the Canadiens then they will have a very good chance to advance in the next round. The two teams faced a couple of years ago, with the Blueshirts advancing over the Habs. Both teams have great goalies and many great players that will set up a great series that will most likely go the distance. I have no doubt in my mind that this series will go the distance. The Blueshirts have great speed that can last for a long seven game series. In the end, the Ranger’s Hank Lundqvist has been more consistent in the playoffs then Carey Price. I will be taking the Hank and the Rangers in 7. I will be somewhere on Madison Avenue for the parade in late June, come by and say Hi. #HeyHeyHey
I will be live tweeting throughout the playoffs, starting with Game 1 tonight.
